My Experience

Going to Arches was a spontaneous decision after receiving a tip from a Grand Canyon Park Ranger, but it was one of my favorite locations!

We left The Grand Canyon after the sun set and made our way into Utah. We Slept in the car that night and woke up early to head to Arches. Getting there early was crucial because we avoided the crowds for the majority of our visit, and it was not as hot in the morning.

Be began our trip at the visitors center. Then we drove along Arches Scenic Drive, stopping at various pull off points to take pictures and explore. Some of our favorite views were:

  • Park Avenue

  • Balanced Rock

  • Garden of Eden

  • South Window

  • North Window & Turret Arch

  • Delicate Arch Viewpoint (disappointing)

    • We did not have enough time to hike the Delicate Arch Trail (6 miles total & at least 2 hours), but I would highly recommend it! Bring water!!
